Mark 'Spud' Carroll Inspires Young League Enthusiasts

NSW Rugby League kicked another goal in Lightning Ridge last week with a visit from former manly representative player, Mark 'Spud' Carroll.

Mark who is sponsored by Kellogs Nutri grain visited both the local Primary School and Khans IGA Supermarket.

Fans flocked to see Mark and enjoyed his easy going manner and the competitive nature he distributed footballs and caps.

He was kept busy autographing articles, answering questions and being photographed. Mark took the opportunity to catch up with his aunt, Chris Harrison, whilst at the Ridge. This 6' 5" X Manly star, who is married with two children, Joshua and Indiana, has clocked up 219 first grade games, 12 tests, 7 State of Origin games and 3 grand Finals during his Rugby League career.

Mark Carroll is an inspiration to young Rugby League players as they too have the opportunity to achieve his sporting record.
